A Professional & Empathetic Approach
My therapeutic approach is grounded in trust, empathy, and confidentiality, always adhering to professional and personal ethical standards.
“I find Michelle to be very easy to talk to. In a setting which I’ve never felt
comfortable speaking about, you have been great at getting me to come out of my
shell and get me talking about personal experiences that I would be hesitant to
usually share”
Clients often describe me as warm and approachable, yet gently challenging when needed. I work carefully to help you uncover the roots of your pain, gain insight. I will help you to create meaningful and lasting change by increasing your confidence and enhancing your sexual and emotional intimacy.

Relationship & Couples Therapy
Couples counselling and couples relationship therapy is for any couple regardless of where they are in their relationship. Whether things feel rocky or relatively steady, all couples can benefit from relationship therapy; every relationship experiences its share of difficulties. Working through these issues is a natural and important part of growing together. My specialism in Pre-Marital Relationship Counselling for those preparing for marriage, or other long-term commitment, is especially valuable
Relationship Therapy is all about getting to the bottom of what’s really bothering you both. The day-to-day stuff really matters (arguments about money, kids, the dishes, inlaws, communication styles), as do the more profound things that are really causing problems.
You might consider couples counseling if any of the following resonate with you:
- You feel emotionally or physically distant from your partner
- There’s been ongoing tension between you
- Arguments are becoming more frequent or intense
- A recent life change is creating strain in the relationship
- You feel stuck or complacent in your connection
- You want to fully prepare for marriage, talking things through as part of your preparation
These are just a few examples. Many other signs may suggest it’s time to seek support; what matters most is how you and your partner are feeling.
In most cases, both partners contribute to the tension in a relationship. So when we address you both as a couple, we also have to address you as individuals. In therapy, I will help you to learn more about yourself, the things that trigger you, things from your past and how that affects your partner. We will draw out a treatment plan and provide useful easy to use techniques to best suit you and work together to resolve them.

Individual Psychosexual Therapy
Having a fulfilling sex-life is one of the mainstays of a rewarding relationship and increased self confidence. Sexual problems can lead to a loss of physical contact with your partner and may also have a major impact on other areas of life.
It is not unusual for people to experience sexual problems at some time in their lives and often these can be difficult to discuss at best, and at worst people avoid the issue altogether leading to great unhappiness.
Problems may include: Erectile dysfunction, a loss of desire or interest, premature or delayed ejaculation, orgasmic difficulties, penetration difficulties (vaginismus), painful intercourse (dyspareunia) as well as the consequences of illness and disability.
We will work towards what issues are troubling you and how it is presenting in your daily life and relationships. It is “peeling the onion” to find the main causes and similarly learning more about yourself, the triggers, your past and how it surfaces in your life. We will draw out a treatment plan and provide techniques to best suit you and work together to resolve them.
We’ll explore the issues that are currently affecting you and how they’re showing up in your daily life and relationships. Think of it as “peeling back the layers” — uncovering the underlying causes while deepening your understanding of yourself, your triggers, and the impact of your past. Together, we’ll develop a personalised treatment plan with practical techniques tailored to your needs. Our work will focus on breaking down barriers and building your confidence with clear, supportive guidance every step of the way.
