“Our sessions with Michelle were incredibly insightful and meaningful. She helped us better understand not only each other, but also ourselves, and why we respond to situations the way we do … The experience has been very positive and valuable, and would highly recommend her to anyone who is seeking guidance, whether as an individual or as a couple.” J&D
I am an integrative psychotherapist specialising in psychosexual and relationship therapy. I work with a wide range of issues, including, but not limited to, sexual concerns and anxieties, relationship issues with individuals and couples, affairs, attachment difficulties, and general anxiety and difficulties with life. My specialism in Pre-Marital Relationship Counselling for those wanting to prepare for marriage, or other long-term commitment to each other, has been especially valuable.
Having trained with the London Diploma in Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy I am a registered member of COSRT. I have worked in International Universities, the NHS, and charity organisations for domestic abuse/trauma victims.
My approach is integrative, using a range of theraputic methods that best suit the clients (Gestalt/Transactional Analysis/Psychodynamic/Existential/Person Centred).
Having lived and worked in different countries throughout the Asia Pacific region, and the UK, for over 20 years, I also understand the challenges of settling into a new culture – feeling isolated, misunderstood, or overwhelmed. My international background enables me to connect with a wide range of cultural and religious perspectives, especially around sex and relationships, which are often shaped by complex values and expectations.
I believe everyone deserves to be truly heard, supported, and given a safe space to express and explore their feelings. In my work, I often use the phrase “peeling the onion” gently uncovering the layers to find the root of pain or anxiety. From there, we work together to explore ways of healing and moving forward.
I am passionate about my work, supporting individuals and couples from all backgrounds including sexual trauma survivors, migrants, LGBTQIA+, and GSRD. I offer therapy for a wide range of sexual and relationship issues.
“Many thanks to you and help in the journey in recovery. Its has been more than I ever thought. The best thing I’ve ever done in our 16yrs of our relationship. I would recommend Michelle to anyone that was in a situation we were.” S&S
